Maraya
 
The newly revived Maraya Art Centre was officially launched in March 2010 as one of the UAE’s most spectacular venues for contemporary visual arts. Maraya is established over 1500 square meters of immaculate gallery space located in the heart of UAE’s cultural capital. The three-story art centre is a stage for creative experimentation and a testament to the region’s extraordinary artistic genius, hosting a panorama of the region’s finest compositions. Maraya Art Centre can be used for any number of design purposes, and is comfortably fitted with all the amenities you would expect in a world-class gallery. Visitors are invited to attend lectures led by featured artists, enrol in specialized workshops for students, teens and adults, and enjoy daily tours of the centre’s three main levels.

The first level is known as “The Shelter”, a multimedia haven for artists seeking to make their own impact on the local scene. With a strong commitment to showcasing works by artists from the Arab world, the second level features a permanent exhibition titled The House of Arab Art.

Not limiting itself to the region, on the top level a Contemporary Art Gallery features dramatic and avant-garde pieces selected from some of the most promising names in the world of modern art.
